Corações Duros de Roer """ Tough Hearts to Crack

The human being is a machine that is born perfect and dies broken. A machine that gathers not only physical, but also energy. Energy that contains our imagination, our feelings and everything that makes us so different from everyone else and different from the other animals.

We're all made of the same: flesh and bones mixed and gathered to make a big piece that is part of this world we live in. But the human being is gifted with a difference: deep down inside of us we all have hearts that walk us through life showing us, through sensations, everything that awaits us ahead. In the beginning they are tender, innocent, virgin and unexplored, but with time they learn to endure pain and sometimes even joy. In the end, even with all our differences, all our hearts are the same. Hearts as hard as stones. Tough harts to crack.

This text is about something confuse, something deep and infinite that starts in the deepest corner of our hearts and reaches all curves of the world and passing around with the making of a smile in our lips, the glitter of pairs of eyes wet in hope and tight hugs and caress kisses that are given by mothers. It is a feeling with it's own strong and "endless" name that moves hearts and makes us the nomads we are, going from one place to another when it is strong enough for us to keep it even when in places that are not home.

"Love": it is something that can exist between friends, couples, brothers and parents and children. But today i come to you about a special love of mine that has been always dear to me.

When I met you, you were but a big, giant face in between a lot of objects that I had never seen in the dark room that I was used to. You had this big, curious smile folded in your lips that attracted all my attention. A smile that I used to want to copy but, as I didn't know how to, was made a target for my little, slick hands to touch in order for me to figure out how was it that something so beautiful was made. After your lips, I could see your brown eyes cooled with green, containing all the happiness you could ever have, spread through the roots of your eyes, which today I call "iris". Apart from that, there was this shiny, black thing that stretched and shrunk with even the slightest touch of my little fingers.

With time, the first face I ever saw in my life, became also the most beautiful one. It became a shelter and a solution for all the problems i didn't know how to solve yet, and I was taught to call it "mother" ( or "mum"). And to me, that was always your name: I used to hear all the other children call "mumy" or some teenagers call theirs by their real name, but i looked at you, smiled on the inside, even when you were mad, and suddenly I would release, from my deepest depths of myself, coming from my first blink, a low "Muuuuum!".

Nowadays you nag me, you draw my attention so I don't get drawn away from what you have always taught me, you give me strong hugs when i need them and comfort me in this world that becomes unbearable, sometimes. I know that, even if I mess up, you will always blush with pride, I know that you are happy to have me, my brother and my sister and today I write this text for you, for a special reason: I know that when you wake up in the morning you are going to look all around the "Facebook" for another text and I want you to know that, even if you cry after reading all of this, I want you to have one of the happiest days of your life and that you're always going to be the most beautiful person in the world, at least to four people in the world!

Kisses, Mum!

Palavras Soltas e Cosquistar o Mundo """ Random Words and to Conquer the World

 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

There are days when i write with a goal: with sense and a certain thought, days in which that thought occurs to means ends up dripping into the world like a water thread. Days that are easy and and only happen once in a while in the whole Universe, giving our soul some room to breath so we can relax and be apart from others' troubles.

I believe that lately every day has been like this for me, trouble less and with enough room for me to think. I even have enough space not to think  for a while sometimes, I have time to do things without any thinking, regardless of the consequences and without any regrets. I think this is actually what we all want nowadays: no responsibility or obligations, just the joy of living.

Until now, every text of mine have been written with that sense: they follow a line that I drew in my head and translate a certain thought that gains form inside of me. But today is a day when i write without thinking or reacting to the movement of my fingers which I have released on the keyboard and commanded to write for me. Today is a feelings and emotions day, when i feel special in the world: more special than someone who has changed their life for a while, more than someone who has risked a lot to see beyond what that person knew. Today it feels like I have a destiny and it is to change the world.

I think every one has days like this one and for that this text is to those phrases and special thoughts that make us who we are and have the future we have ahead of us. Today I predict mine and feel that with random words and the thought of a unique "me", I'm going to conquer the world.

Levantei-me então, afundei bem as chaves e a carteira nos bolsos e fui.

Aveiro is a beautiful city, comfortable (although it is cold) and with a certain fame that I always manage to notice when during the day I try to walk through waves of foreign people, always with their curious looks, talking about the buildings dressed in their tiles and about burning sun, even when it is plain Winter. During the day the whole city has a new, refreshing look, and in a certain way, clean, but when it comes to the night...

At the end of the afternoon, today, i was sitting by the computer when i heard the house door open. The lady that took care of the house had just came in: she was the one who received our payments, cleaned the house and showed people around when they were interested in living there. She had came to receive the rent and as I didn't have the money ready, I just sat in the living room in all my laziness, waiting for someone to "remind" me that i had to go to the cash machine.

The lady is really nice and she speaks a lot, so, for a few minutes i heard her talking to the other people who were living there until the living room door opened and a cheerful face peeked in. Of course I instantly smiled back at her with a wish of good night and an enormous difficulty in accepting that i was going to have to get up from the most comfy chair in the world and go walk through the lights of the city in the cold night. So i got up, stuck my keys and my wallet in my pockets and walked out.

The night was truly cold and exiting the building into the streets is something that stimulates any curious person's senses. Vision: the street was empty, deserted from people; hearing: I couldn't hear anything besides the wind and the stirred river; tact: "COLD!"; palate: "meat patties from dinner!". Nothing great until the nose yawned deeply and a characteristic scent came in. It is was the chestnuts smell, the Autumn smell, the smell that we all learn to love since we're little children and that had just reminded me of how good it is to come out and feel the cold air in your skin and the smell of a typical Portuguese street, how good it is to remember those days when we came home with an enormous joy showing itself in smiles and laughs when we went to buy some chestnuts, when we brought them home and opened them so that in the day after we could compete with our friends and see who had the most of them and throw them, happy, into the giant fire that burned everyone's eyes around it.

I kept walking on the sidewalks, crossing roads and closing my eyes, once in a while, so i could feel even better the scent of the roasted chestnuts. I kept walking by the house's doors and, just for the taste of it, i tried to feel the smell that came out of each of the open entrances on the forefronts of every building. Some stores smelled like new clothes, some others still had their scents covered by the chestnuts', cooked by a lady just a few minutes ahead. Some coffee shops smelled like food, others smelled like cigarettes smokes by the old men who looked closely to the television expecting another goal to happen in the football game they were watching in between comments: "Pass, pass!" one of them said with a sulky look on his face.

On the way home a man, who I noticed to be soaked in perfume, crossed my way. Never before a smell like that had bothered me that much and it didn't take long until i started thinking to myself: "Annoying man, go away!" as he kept going in front of me until suddenly he turned right and walked into a stationer's with it's own newspapers and magazines smell.

The night kept going and my head was flooded with thoughts and new words to strum on the keyboard. When I arrived at home, I delivered the money to the lady and after she left I drowned myself in the ideas started with a simple breath and followed in the bowels of a beautiful night, through Aveiro's scents: a country's scents.

Sobre Mim "" About Me

 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

There is no better way to start a blog than with an "About me" where I tell you about myself: who I am, how I came here, what I do, where I live, what I like or dislike and more.

My name is Francisco, I'm 19 and I'm from Lisbon, although at the moment I live in Aveiro which, until now, has been a very homy  city. I'm a person with a lot  of different interests that go from gaming to writting, from a phew resting hours to a phew exercising ones. I don't like to stop and just how a lot of people say "Stopping is dieing" and  I'm still far from that.
One of the things I like to do, and that has led me to create this blog, is writting. I look at the the pen and papper as if they were my best friends, for either writting stories or job  writting down thoughts.
I also love cinema and o can say that these are my two big dreams: writting and acting.
Right now I'm studying arts and recently I started thinking that maybe I would like to become a script writter and film director.

For now in looking for a job so I can keep living in Aveiro until the end of the school year and until then I will keep on building little "Castles of  Air" so that one day I can have a bigger one. :)

O Porquê "" The Reason

"""

This is an introduction text to the blog, ment only to explain why I created it, why I've named it "Castles of Air" and why I write the texts and show the images that I will be publishing here with time.
Firstly, I started this blog in order to be able to write and show all those little texts that come through my mind and eventually end up in a piece of papper as the beggining of books. As the blog's name says, it is going to be the ground for some " Castles of Air" that I will be creating over time, these being ideas, opinions, dreams or feelings.
I hope you like what you find :)
